Production Management & Scheduling:
Plan, organize, work within, and oversee production schedules.
Ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
Ensure optimal use of resources and timely completion of finish product to meet customer deadlines.
Quality Control & Efficiency:
Enforce current quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
Address quality issues promptly and effectively.
Identify any issues or inefficiencies and implement improvements.
Team Supervision:
Supervise and lead production workers, providing guidance and training.
Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee performance.
Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Promote a culture of safety among team members.
Resource Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Optimize the use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain production reports and records.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Communicate production status to upper management.
Inventory Management:
Monitor levels of needed materials on the floor; coordinate with General Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good understanding of production processes and quality control techniques.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods.
Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
Willingness to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, with potential for overtime as needed.
Shift work may be required, including nights and weekends.
Exposure to machinery, noise, and hazardous materials.
