The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order within the facility.
Provide assistance during emergencies by administering CPR and first aid as needed.
Document incidents and prepare reports for management review.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Participate in training sessions to maintain skills in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are preferred.
Proven experience in a security role or related field is advantageous.
Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation, is essential.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A background in military service or law enforcement is a plus but not mandatory.
