Summary:
As a Hospital Billing Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work independently, effectively utilizing our current billing system (Genius Solutions and physician billing module (MediMobile).
You will handle various aspects of hospital medical billing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key
Responsibilities:
Manage and process hospital medical billing claims accurately and efficiently Ensure compliance with relevant coding standards, insurance regulations, and healthcare billing protocols Work independently with minimal supervision, handling day-to-day billing tasks and resolving any billing discrepancies Review and verify patient information, including insurance coverage and authorizations Handle claim submissions, follow-ups, and appeals with insurance providers Communicate effectively with physicians, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries and concerns Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing laws, codes, and guidelines Utilize billing software and physician billing module proficiently to process claims and generate reports Working A/R Report Assist with other billing-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Certified Billing Specialist or relevant certification in medical billing Minimum of 5 years of hospital medical billing experience Strong knowledge of hospital billing procedures, insurance claims, and reimbursement practices Proficiency in healthcare billing systems and software Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with accuracy Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Job Types:
