Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to help modernize the team at our private general practice law office.
The Legal Assistant will provide support to our legal team by conducting client relations, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case file management.
Run by a solo practicing attorney, our office is an intimate and comfortable environment where you can hone your skills, both legal and administrative, to reach your career ambitions.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, creating and maintain case files, including in-office filing - Assist attorney in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions - Communication with clients and other law offices - Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances - Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and social media management:
Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the attorney's online presence and engage with current and potential clients.
Create and curate content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, that aligns with the attorney's branding and objectives.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Some college preferred but required - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong computer efficiency and some social media proficiency - Experience working in a law office or equivalent - Ability to proofread documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed Note:
