has an immediate need for a Document Control Specialist.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a rapidly growing company under the guidance and mentorship of leading experts in the X-ray instrumentation field.
The team is looking for a Technical Writer to support our team in building state-of-the-art X-ray microscopes and instruments used by some of the most prominent scientists and institutions in the world.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Work with the engineering and manufacturing departments to establish standards and processes for ECOs and product organization Be the point of contact for minor revisions to mechanical assemblies Assist in obtaining third party certification from Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (e.
g.
, CE/SEMI) Create internal documentation to transition new products from R&D prototypes to production and external documentation for instrument installation Store documentation online, change document management, and design templates Skills:
Project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical skills, both data analysis and critical thinking Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands Ability to deliver solutions in tight deadlines
Qualifications:
Experience in a mechanical field (e.
g.
, drafting) Highly organized and detail oriented Knowledge of high-tech documentation Experience with revision control of written documentation Experience managing documentation of multiple product lines Sigray is a rapidly growing startup based in Concord CA that manufactures X-ray sources, optics, and systems.
The X-ray systems include X-ray spectroscopy, microfluorescence, and nano- and micro- computed tomography, as well as several unreleased instruments under active development.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of instrumentation design and programming of motion control systems.
The company was started by Dr.
Wenbing Yun, who previously founded Xradia, a world leading x-ray microscopy company that was later successfully acquired by Carl Zeiss as its x-ray microscopy unit.
Sigray is well-funded by government grants and has customers from around the world.
