The ideal candidate will have experience in probate, estate planning, and guardianship law and demonstrate a strong ability to assist in case preparation, legal research, and document management.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and provide support on various issues within probate, estate planning, and guardianship law.
Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including wills, trusts, estate planning documents, and guardianship applications.
Manage case files, ensuring all relevant documents are organized, filed, and accessible.
Communicate with clients, providing them with updates and maintaining a professional and supportive relationship.
Support attorneys in court preparations and document submissions, ensuring all materials are prepared in compliance with legal standards.
Coordinate with court personnel, clients, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and organization.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field, with a certificate in paralegal studies highly preferred.
Three or more years of experience in an administrative assistant, secretarial position, or other legal role is advantageous.
Proficient in legal research tools and familiar with legal procedures and terminology relevant to our practice areas.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, committed to high-quality work and attention to detail.
Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English).
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to anticipate and respond to client needs proactively.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
