Under the guidance of the Owner or Production Manager, the Production Associate performs a wide range of duties related to the production and physical installation of signs.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school or trade school diploma or GED Clean and current drivers record Pass a CORI check If not already obtained, employee must obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Card within 30 days of hire.
2 year sign installation experience.
Basic electrical/wiring knowledge.
(a plus but not necessary) Candidates offered a position with Cassandra Sign are required to undergo a Background Screening.
Candidates offered a position with physical requirements may need to pass a position - appropriate Fit for Duty exam which will be scheduled and paid for by Cassandra Sign.
Candidates who operate equipment or vehicles may be subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and neat production environment.
Cleans installation site when work is complete.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design specifications.
Read work orders, confirm materials and follow instructions for timely and quality completion of assigned daily projects.
Knowledge of materials and tools used in sign making.
Painting, cutting and shaping materials to produce signs is a significant part of the job.
Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction.
Communicate with other employees and customers in a calm and professional manner.
Multi-task in a schedule driven environment while still maintaining accuracy while working on different projects simultaneously.
Perform basic and/or more advanced installations.
Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed.
Communicate with other employees regarding timing, extra charges, errors to enable them to keep customer advised of situations.
Produce all types of signage - interior, exterior, illuminated, non-illuminated, post and panels, sign boxes, and pylons.
Highly proficient in math Correctly use and read a tape measure Detail-oriented Willing to learn new things Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned tools Monitor material inventories to lessen waste and control costs Follow established quality standards to prevent rework and missed deadlines Complete quality check of work when project is complete work off shift hours as needed; work as part of a team and unsupervised Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Due to the nature of sign fabrication and installation, Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or climb, use of hands to manipulate materials, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
May also be exposed to loud noises, dust and fumes.
Appropriate use of company supplied personal protective equipment must be adhered to at all times.
Working at various heights for sign installation.
Ability to lift 80 or more pounds.
Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high quality work.
Ability to safely operate tools, including but not limited to; saws, drills, hammers, welding equipment, etc.
