The Construction Project Accountant has responsibility for AP, AR, and project compliances.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Construction Project Accountant position will report directly to the Controller or their designee.
Responsibilities Assist in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Assist in gathering data for reporting during the month-end close process.
Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.
Utilize financial software for efficient data management and reporting.
Properly review, analyze, and set up billing rates and terms per contracts.
Review and audit vendor invoices for accuracy and required backup per contract.
Requirements Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
Knowledge of financial management practices, including budgeting and forecasting.
Ability to manage accounts receivable effectively.
Experience with journal entries and general ledger reconciliation processes.
Proficient in using financial software for record keeping and reporting purposes.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
