6 Honolulu, HI Honolulu, HI Full-time Full-time From $65,000 a year From $65,000 a year Position Objective The Talent & Culture - Work, Health & Safety Specialist will lead and oversee the WH&S initiatives throughout the Hotel to include Safety, Worker's Compenstion, Leave Management and Compliance.
This position will additionally support other facets of the Talent & Culture department.
Key Responsibilities Work, Health & Safety Manage in partnership with employees, Supervisors/Department Heads, and Security all workplace injuries and incidents from initial investigation, documentation and reportinng to ensure required and appropriate actions are taken to control and exercise risk management.
Manage the full-cycle of WC claims from on-going communication and coordination with injured employees, Supervisors/Department Heads, Corporate staff, insurance company and other key stakeholders.
Manage in partnership with appropriate entities the treatment, rehabilitation, recovery, return to work, and status of all claims.
Ensure all documentation is maintained as mandated by Federal, State and County guidelines and requirements.
Manage the internal reporting and auditing procedures that are aligned with Corporate guidelines and requirements.
Manage in partnership with appropriate entities the WHS Committee to ensure vision, strategies, practices and activities are being conducted.
Presents in partnership WHS training as part of the new hire onboarding process and on-going training.
Talent & Culture Manage in partnership the various leave processes to include FMLA, HFLL, TDI, Military, Personal and others.
Support the overall Employee Relations platform through internal communication, collaboration and coordination of various Hotel events that are focused on diversity, engagment and inclusion.
Perform other duties as assigned by Talent & Culture leadership.
Cross-train within other areas within the Talent & Culture Department.

Qualification Standards:
Education:
Business school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year minimum of related work and subject experience preferred.

Ensure that all Occupational Health and Safety requirements for the company are met within your department.
Report any workplace hazards as you see them and support the company in its endeavor to provide a safe workplace.
Represent the company in a positive manner expounding the values, ethics and pride at all times.
