Reporting to the Dean of Graduate and Professional Education, the Assistant Coordinator is primarily responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of all academic services to guide prospective and currently enrolled students in youth partnership programs from application to graduation.
This also includes the financial aid packaging and support with regard to enterprise partnerships withinSPS.
The positions work is consistent with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the administrative, academic, or research unit.
Anticipates and resolves partner issues, analyzes participant feedback, and implements change to program delivery accordingly, while striving for the highest level of student service throughout all phases of the program Oversees all advisement of the specialty program high school partnerships (ACES), and assists with additional advisement and registration of the general undergraduate population.
Oversees the Accelerated College Experience (ACE) and dual enrollment high school programs for the university, managing relationships with the various high schools and creating new partnerships.
Supervises and runs the summer youth enrichment programs, including the teachers, coordinators, and activities.
Registers bothACESandACEstudents each term, creates the courses, manages the inputting of final grades, and performs graduation reviews for those earning associates degrees.
Liaises with both the high schools and Enrollment Services to communicate balance issues, registration requests, transcripts, etc.
Counsels prospective and currently enrolled students in these programs in person, on the telephone, and through written/email correspondence Serves as the primary counselor for financial aid packaging and assistance with various financial assistance programs forSPSenterprise partnership programs.
This includes packaging, communication, verifications, andFAFSAassistance.
Creates course schedules every semester for each program and links faculty to their respective courses.
Prepares faculty contracts for all programs withinSPSand collects syllabi.
Works closely with various offices on-site and within the University community to ensure cohesiveness of process and to maintain a level of communication between service areas.
Prepares and deploys communication to students and works with appropriate offices to provide content for publications, emails, and the website.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Graduate and Professional Education.
Hourly Range:

Experience:
A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years work experience in an educational setting and/or financial assistance departments.
Interpersonal skills and a desire to work closely with people, along with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn new skills, software applications, and procedures quickly.
Education:
Bachelors degree required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
