Key
Responsibilities:
Center Monitoring:
Remain flexible with shift changes as needed.
Monitor shelter operations and ensure a safe, clean environment.
Manage and monitor medication distribution for shelter guests.
Perform housekeeping duties and distribute meals.
Secure the facility in the evening and set alarms.
Answer phones, take messages, and maintain privacy standards.
Screen facility guests and monitor smoking areas and parking lots.
Provide crisis prevention/intervention and supportive counseling.
Conduct hallway checks every 30 minutes and document on the Hallway Monitoring Form.
Provide transportation when necessary and assess clients during meal times.
Report incidents requiring assistance to the supervisor.
Distribute supplies and maintain organized storage rooms.
Report maintenance issues and complete Maintenance Request Forms.
Coordinate freeze-plan and other emergency shelter needs.
Communicate regularly with the supervisor and attend assigned training.
Treat every guest with dignity and respect.
Service Coordination Support:
Document clients on the bed list and perform minimal data entry.
Maintain accurate information in shift reports.
Report immediately to the supervisor when 911 is called.
Assist with any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job
Qualifications Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma/GED required Experience At least two years of service coordination or related social service experience.
Exceptional conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Ability to maintain appropriate behavior and personal boundaries.
Job Specifications Medium:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
100% of the time.
