Job Overview:
The Paralegal plays a crucial role in our firm's legal operations, providing essential support to attorneys in case management and litigation.
This position requires a paralegal with a strong background in handling legal cases and litigation processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with our legal team to ensure that cases are efficiently managed, organized, and prepared for proceedings.
Key
Responsibilities:
Case Management:
Assist in the management of a diverse caseload, including legal research, document review, and client interviews.
Litigation Support:
Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
Calendaring and Court Deadlines:
Maintain attorney calendars, track court deadlines, and ensure that all necessary actions are taken to meet filing and hearing dates.
Legal Research:
Conduct legal research, including case law, statutes, and regulations to support attorney preparations and case strategies.
Document Management:
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all relevant documents are accessible and properly filed.
Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
Court Filings:
Prepare and file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and deadlines.
Trial Preparation:
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating with witnesses, and managing logistics.
Administrative Tasks:
Perform general administrative tasks, such as scheduling, managing attorney calendars, and handling phone inquiries.
Compliance:
Ensure all legal documents and activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or completion of an accredited paralegal program is required.
Prior experience as a paralegal with a focus on case management and litigation is required.
Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases concurrently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with court procedures and e-filing systems.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
