We specialise in the designing, building and operating of social and business critical communication infrastructure throughout Australia and are recognised for our technical excellence and delivery.
We are currently recruiting senior Radiocommunications Technician to join our Perth based team.
This position is full time, with long term security for the right candidate.
Reporting to the construction manager, you will be working alongside riggers as the ground team member in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications network systems.
Duties will include:
Install wireless network equipment in the setup of new, or upgrade of existing telecommunication base stations, inclusive of RF, fibre and DC systems.
Configuring and integrating network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases and operating systems Developing and recording logs of the details, locations and status of inventories, parts, equipment and instruments and maintaining the documentation of communication policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations, and quality standards Providing technical advice and information, and monitoring the performance of complex telecommunications networks and equipment Run and terminate cables, including coaxial, DC power, earth, optical fibre or hybrid.
Undertake proof tests such as line testing, circuit commissioning and DC power tests.
Analyse system faults with a high degree of diagnostic skill.
Read and interpret technical drawings, design documents, product and client specifications, and implement/install equipment as per design, as well as propose changes for effective project delivery.
Technically assist Riggers onsite to ensure installation back to equipment is correct, and simultaneously work with them in the planning, execution and completion of site works.
Follow designated site access and safety protocols as specified to ensure protection of customer network operations and work in accordance with issued site safety documents including SWMS, JSA's and other site-specific documents Essential Skills & Attributes Advance problem solving skills - Ability to flag and troubleshoot potential issues Ability to interface with client Technical SMEs Able to be SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for technical issues within the WA group Toolbox presentation ability Mentor ability To be considered for this role you need:
The highest commitment to safe working practices; Minimum 5 years working as a Radiocommunications/Telecommunications Technician A degree or diploma certification with a telecommunications or electrical engineering will be highly regarded; Industry Construction White Card; Australian Drivers Licence Experience in Telstra, Optus, VHA and TPG networks Knowledge of Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers You must be available to travel and work away from home when required.
