We look forward to meeting you! --- AND NOW, for our BCBA job posting like you've never seen before! At Precision ABA, we fully believe in clear, open communication and giving all the needed information in order for someone to make an informed decision.
At Precision ABA, we have tiered positions based on confidence and competence.
Our Behavior Technicians are leveled as 3-2-1 (3:
new hire through fluent with their assigned caseload; 2:
fluent floater and material maker; 1:
staff trainer) and so are our BCBAs (3:
new hire through fluent in instructional design, fluency-based instruction, and BCBA-job responsibilities; 2:
fully independent caseload supporting 110 or fewer direct service hours per week; 1:
fully independent larger caseload).
There's evaluations and data collection at each level.
Staff can choose to stay at their level or pursue additional training and supervision to move up.
We ensure that our learners have the highest possible quality of care regardless of who is working with them by supplementing staff skill sets with supervision from more experienced clinicians.
For our Behavior Analysts, level 3s spend about 5 hours per week with direct support and training from our Clinical Director, Brigid McCormick.
Level 2s spend 2-3 hours per week with her and Level 1s check in as needed, an average of about an hour per week.
Brigid excels in staff training, instructional design, Precision Teaching, and assent-based practice.
We also regularly collaborate with other professionals and do continuing education swaps.
Billable hour requirements are based on competence.
Level 3s start with a higher number of billable hours typically doing direct service delivery as they build their confidence and skill set with being a BCBA at Precision ABA.
Level 2s average around 24 billable hours per week, and Behavior Analyst 1s can do as many hours as they want to do and still maintain quality.
Salaries are based on that billable hour and the way we determine it is based on work put in
supervision.
Money brought in, money paid out.
Level 3s receive a lower salary and an extensive benefits package received through CEs, direct supervision and training, and high-intensity support.
Level 1s receive a higher salary based on the caseload they carry.
We don't believe in bonuses for overworking.
We do believe in the power of flexible work schedules.
BCBAs can flex their billable hours to take time off whenever while still getting 2 weeks of billable hour requirements waived.
Our BCBAs take an average of about 6 weeks off work through flexing their time.
We allow for virtual supervision once BCBAs know their clients.
The thing we're most proud of here is our culture:
one centered on embracing each other for who they are.
Authentic relationships.
Growth.
And meaningful community engagement, both within the Precision ABA walls and in the behavior analytic and Naperville community at large.
Here's other things that set us apart:
We don't inflate therapeutic hour recommendations and overwork children.
We are super intentional in our hiring process to minimize turnover, and we're not looking to just fill positions.
We treat all of our Behavior Techs as interns, ensuring their skillset is fluent and flexible.
Our clinicians have been practicing as assent-based practitioners formally since 2011, and informally since birth; we all care deeply about client autonomy and values.
Most of our clients are in the afternoon hours as most all of them benefit from attending school.
We work primarily with learners who have graduated from other ABA practices and have to work on agile and abstract language.
We use a lot of RFT and ACT programming.
Our learners tend to be between the ages of 4-18 and engage in fewer behavior management targets.
The position description? You already know it! We provide in-home and in-center ABA therapy, and our BCBAs are expected to conduct assessments, design treatment plans, create instructional materials and program notes, train staff formally and informally, and oversee client cases.
We use the Standard Celeration Chart (paper and pencil ALL DAYYYY) but we provide such extensive training on the SCC, Precision Teaching, and instructional design! No experience with those concepts necessary! Just a passion for learning and growth! Our organization is truly unmatched.
It's a wonderful place to work and to receive services and we're super proud of it.
