Technical Infrastructure PM II, OTIE

The OTIE team is looking for a Technical Infrastructure PM (TIPM) to join our team.
We build and operate the network and services that enable Amazon Fulfillment Centers, Middle and Last Mile facilities, including Air hubs, and PrimeNow to deliver packages to Amazon retail customers.
From two million square foot automated robotics fulfillment centers to small last-mile delivery stations in emerging markets, these networks are the backbone of Amazon Operations.
Hundreds of thousands of associates rely upon these networks at thousands of locations, and are critical to the delivery of shipments to Amazon retail customers.
As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, you will manage projects or programs that primarily requires building, deploying, and interacting with physical IT infrastructure.
As a TIPM for Deployment , you will assist a diverse amount of programs ranging from Launch to Engineering to Customer Programs.
You will problem solve IT infrastructure build risk/issues with technical delivery teams and engineers.
Also in this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to create efficiencies for the customer, manage scope creep, manage IT budget, and meet IT milestone deliverables with limited impact to schedule.
Projects will be in disparate geographic locations, and require your use of excellent communication skills to coordinate onsite and remote work with resources.
You will serve as a single point of contact for the project team and for the end-to-end IT project management and execution.
Key job responsibilitieso Develop and manage IT Programs from beginning to end, including project scope, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and project execution.
o Provide project management and direction to ensure the project teams have clear knowledge of IT timelines, risks, escalation path and deliverables they will undertake within the project team.
o Act as an escalation point for the project teams and project stakeholders.
o Maintain knowledge regarding IT hardware and equipment standards to ensure appropriate orders are delivered by need by dates.
o Proactively manage change control and communicate impact on project scope, identify risks & issues, and devising contingency plans.
o Identify and manage project deliverables and critical paths.
o Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using SPM Tool.
o Track and communicate program/project milestones, deliverables, and risks.
o Provide on-site monitoring and enforcement of install schedules and vendor quality, inspect prospective and completed facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures, and ensure proper follow-up.
o Facilitate formal turn-over with onsite teams, business partners and monitor deliverables until launch/project milestone is achieved.
o Daily communication and partnership with internal/external stakeholders.
o Update or develop documentation on processes that are critical to successful execution of your projects.
A day in the lifeYou travel to sites to set up projects for successful deployment and execution of multiple defined projects in many program types ranging from Retrofit, Decommission, Launch, Customer, or Engineering.
You seek out unidentified system dependencies and work with teams to updates process and documentation.
You will explain and work with Engineers on infrastructure related benefits and challenges to communicate customer pain points from technical deployment perspective.
You understand the impact of your decisions at a program level and make recommendations and priority according.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
