Summary:
Calcmatics LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to support the workforce development goals of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Marketing and Regulatory Programs Information Technology (IT) division.
This role involves providing technical and administrative support for the day-to-day operations of ITD's workforce development initiatives, including scheduling and organizing training Key
Responsibilities:
Workforce Development Coordination:
Develop and maintain schedules for workforce development training programs, including upskilling and reskilling initiatives.
Ensure all training aligns with USDA IT needs and organizational goals.
Logistics Management:
Coordinate logistics for workforce development activities, including scheduling, securing locations or platforms (virtual or physical), and managing communication with trainers, facilitators, and participants.
Intern Program Management:
Plan and execute the ITD intern program, including onboarding, orientation sessions, training, and mentorship.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the intern program to ensure it runs smoothly and provides valuable learning experiences.
Process Improvement:
Analyze the efficiency of current workforce development processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Conduct annual reviews of training procedures and propose updates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze feedback from training participants to assess program effectiveness.
Use data to make informed decisions about future training needs and identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain effective communication with USDA leadership and workforce development stakeholders.
Respond to leadership requests for information and resources within specified timelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, project management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in an operations role Experience in analysis, problem solving and process improvement Preferred background in employee development, training, ongoing learning and/or psychology Why Join Calcmatics?
