Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Propane, the Customer Service Rep supports the Propane Division in providing Customer Service to Interstate Oil Propane customers as well as other related duties as assigned.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary contact for customers calling in for assistance.
Performs credit checks to clear customers for delivery.
Inputs and updates all customer account information.
Works with other Propane Division employees (Sales, Dispatch, Propane Delivery Drivers) and other InterState Oil branches to coordinate customer service support as needed.
Handles invoices, purchase orders and service work orders.
Produces customer account aging reports for collections.
Regular attendance is required.
Responsible for other/additional duties as required by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to listen and problem-solve.
Ability to multi-task and quickly manage changing priorities.
Attention to detail.
Requires basic math skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
Education &
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Some college preferred.
1-2 years of customer service experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Office environment with moderate noise.
Must be able to sit and work at a computer for up to 8 hours a day.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
