Chief Estimator Status:
Hourly, Non-Exempt The position of Estimator lies within our Estimating Department and plays a critical support role in the business development of our Landscape Construction business.
Experience/Training High School Diploma or GED 2-5 years of experience within the construction field or equivalent field experience Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings Ability to gather, calculate, and compile takeoff data for bid use Effective oral and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to prioritize and multi-task Responsibilities Review plans, general conditions, schedules, scopes of work, site logistics and other exhibits Prepare organized and complete takeoffs Request and obtain quotes for all scope from multiple vendors and sub-contractors Enters takeoff information and quotes into estimating software Analyze alternate means and methods to determine value engineering suggestions Draft proposal documents Additional Skills Knowledge of plants and irrigation systems Proficient with On-Screen Takeoff software Construction management background or higher education on is a bonus Contact:
