In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring residential and commercial lending origination and servicing data is accurate, complete, and adheres to regulatory compliance standards.
FUNCTIONS Responsible for member marketing of the Credit Union and knowledge of all services offered to a degree that will enable answering questions or referring member for specific services.
Maintain familiarity with Credit Union policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws relating to residential and commercial lending.
Research relevant requirements and changes as they relate to the real estate lending operation to remain up-to-date and informed of new industry standards.
Conduct random, targeted and discretionary audits on residential and commercial loans.
Inspect loan documents to verify rate, type, value, purpose, loan limits, security interest, DTI/DSCR.
Document errors, deficiencies, and exceptions and reports results of findings.
Ensure files comply with Credit Union policies, investor, purchaser or mortgage insurer requirements as necessary.
Order and monitor field audit appraisals, reverify documentation of income, assets, and employment information for possible fraud.
Complete daily and monthly report reviews to include file maintenance reviews, new loans, and ALLL updates.
Complete quarterly assessment of HMDA data, coordinate completion, and prepare annual submission.
Assist and provide back-up to Valuation department to support completion of task or miscellaneous projects.
Assist and provide back-up for the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for management.
Assists with gathering and submitting documents, reports, or files needed for audits and exams.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES FOR THIS POSITION Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience.
Minimum
Experience:
Four years of experience in lending, underwriting, compliance, servicing, or quality control.
Knowledge of Fannie Mae lending guides and compliance is required.
Knowledge of FHA, VA, SBA, etc.
is highly desirable.

Must be of the highest integrity and with personal habits above reproach.
Must be a mature person with sound judgment, and practice confidentiality.
Must have the ability to meet and work effectively with people of varying levels of education and experience and to be able to communicate, both written and orally with same.

Must have a high degree of initiative.
Must be able to take direction and seek counsel from supervisor as necessary.
Technical skills must include the ability to operate a calculator and computer terminal.
